"Screening/Buffering: Ground mounted SEF shall be screened and buffered in accordance with the following standards: i. Vegetative buffering, to the extent practical, shall be installed around the entire perimeter of the SEF installation, except where the Municipality determines that the retention of existing trees within the vegetative buffering area may constitute the required vegetative buffer or where the Municipality determines that the Solar Panels cannot be viewed from a public roadway or residential building. ii. The vegetative buffering shall be installed along the exterior side of the fencing. iii. The vegetation shall be a naturized diverse mix of overstory and understory canopy deciduous and evergreen trees that is native to the area. The density of trees shall be based on the mature width of the tree species and shall be approved based on the presented landscape plan. The minimum size of evergreen trees shall be 6' height at the time of placement and the vegetative buffer shall contain at least 50% of evergreens. All deciduous trees shall be a minimum size of 1.5-inch caliper measure from 3-feet above the tree base at the time of planting. All trees that die during within the first three years shall be replaced."
