"[Prior to the issuance of a permit for the installation of a principal solar energy system, the applicant shall provide the Zoning Officer with:] Confirmation that the public utility company has been informed of the customer's intent to install an interconnected customer-owned generator and also approves of such connection. Off-grid systems shall be exempt from this requirement."
